Se ha desatado una fiebre por autorretratarse y no se sabe si tiene cura. Las "autofotos" o  "selfies" inundan las redes sociales. ¿Nos ha picado la mosca del narcisismo?

O en los probadores de las tiendas. S elfie d esde un ángulo alto, sin importar que nuestro brazo sea (casi) el protagonista o desde un ángulo bajo, con la mirada perdida en el horizonte.  Selfie  con pose y selfie haciendo el gamba.  Selfie s onriente con señal de victoria o s elfie c on pucheros cuando nos vamos de algún sitio.  Selfie i ndividual. En pareja. O en grupo.  Selfie, s elfie,  s elfie... y  así hasta hasta los 23 millones que ya van publicadas en Instagram con el hashtag #selfie y 51 millones con el hashtag #me.

¿Más que fiebre, será pandemia? Porque esto parece que nos gusta (mucho) y cada día somos más los que practicamos este tipo de instantáneas para contar lo que llevamos puesto, cómo nos hemos maquillado, con quién estamos o lo que estamos haciendo. Tanto es así que la palabra selfie , tras haberse utilizado sobremanera en los últimos seis meses, está siendo valorada para ser incluida en el diccionario Oxford.

Sólo espero que el efecto de la picadura no sea eterno, o que pronto encuentren la cura .

Everybody is taking  self-portraits or commonly known as "selfies". Social netwoks are full of them and it seems a kind of disease. Has the "narcissism fly" bitten us?

Selfie in the mirror at home. In the elevator. Or in stores.  Selfie   from high angle, no matter your arm is the protagonist or from a low angle, looking at the horizon.  Selfie   posing as a model or making jokes. Happy  Selfie   with thumbs-up or almost crying when we are leaving from somewhere. Individual  Selfie.    Selfie c ouples.  Selfie  Groups.  Selfie,    Selfie,   Selfie...  and so on up to 23 million already posted on Instagram with the hashtag #selfie and 51 million with the hashtag #me.

Disease or pandemic? It seems that we like it a lot and every day more of us practice this type of snapshot to tell the world what we are wearing, how is our make up, who we are with or what we are doing. So much so that the word  Selfie  after being used heavily in the last six months is being assessed for inclusion in the Oxford dictionary.

I just hope that the effect of the bite don't be eternal or someone soon finds the cure.
